Robert G Frykberg, DPM, MPH, MAPWCA, FRSM, FFPM (Glasg), is a graduate of the California College of Podiatric Medicine in 1976. Dr Frykberg went on to complete his residency training at the New England Deaconess Hospital in Boston. He served as the President of the Massachusetts Podiatric Medical Society and a Member of the Board of Registration in Podiatry. From 1992 to 1994, he attended the Harvard School of Public Health and graduated with a Master of Public Health degree with a concentration in quantitative methods. After 21 years of private practice, Dr Frykberg accepted the position as Clinical Dean of the Des Moines University College of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery prior to moving to Phoenix. After 15 years of dedicated service to our Veterans, Dr Frykberg has decided to retire from his role as Chief of Podiatry at the Phoenix VA Medical Center and as Director of the Phoenix VA Medical Center Podiatric Residency Program. He continues to hold the academic rank of Professor, University of Arizona College of Medicine-Phoenix and Adjunct Professor, Midwestern University Program in Podiatric Medicine. His research and writing interests have included all facets of lower extremity disorders, but are specifically focused on diabetic foot ulcers, infections, Charcot foot, and wound care. The author of nearly 100 peer-reviewed publications, he has also been the Editor of two textbooks: The High-Risk Foot in Diabetes Mellitus (1991) and the Diabetic Charcot Foot (2010). His expertise in the Diabetic Foot translated into hundreds of speaking invitations nationally and internationally with numerous lecture engagements in China, India, Russia, South America, the UK, Vietnam, Japan, Indonesia, Italy, and across Europe.

Eric Abrams,, DPM, FACFAS graduated from SCPM in Chicago in 1991. He completed his surgical residency at St Mary’s Hospital (currently Hoboken University Hospital) in Hoboken, NJ. He is currently an attending physician and instructor at the JSUMC surgical residency program. Dr Abrams currently serves as Chair of the Department of Podiatry of Optum Medical Care of NJ. He practices in Eatontown and Toms River, NJ. He has been in both private and group practice for over 30 years.

Steven A Bernstein, DPM, FACFAS, FASPS

Steven A Bernstein, DPM, FACFAS, FASPS graduated from PCPM Temple Podiatry School in 1989. He went on to do his residency at Golden Glades Regional Medical Center in Miami, Florida. In 1991, Dr Bernstein joined an orthopedic group in Aventura, Florida specializing in trauma and reconstructive surgery of the foot and ankle. Currently, Dr Bernstein is in a solo practice located in Fort Lee, New Jersey which specializes in foot and ankle trauma and revisional surgery. Dr Bernstein is Chief of Foot and Ankle Surgery and heads up the podiatric surgery department at Hudson Regional Hospital in Secaucus, New Jersey. Dr Bernstein has a special interest through the years in how bones heal and looking for ways to increase and improve bone healing, particularly with biologics and hardware.

Maryellen Brucato, DPM, FACFAS is a board certified foot and ankle reconstructive surgeon who owns and operates a private practice in Northern New Jersey. Dr. Brucato has been recognized as a leader in her field serving as faculty for AO North America as well as the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. She is the Chair of the ACFAS Practice Management Committee and sits on the executive board for the ACFAS Tri-state Region. She lectures across the country on a variety of surgical topics and has published numerous research papers in peer-reviewed journals. Dr. Brucato remains a committed educator in the field of foot and ankle surgery.

Johanna P Daily, MD, MS is a board certified Infectious Disease Physician and is an attending physician at Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx, NY. She graduated from SUNY Syracuse College of Medicine and trained as a fellow in Infectious Diseases at the Harvard Combined Program. Dr Daily received a Master’s in Epidemiology from the Harvard School of Public Health. She was an Assistant Professor at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, before joining Albert Einstein College of Medicine where she is a Professor of Medicine (Infectious Diseases) and Microbiology and Immunology. She provides Infectious Disease inpatient consult services at Montefiore Medical Center. Dr Daily has over seventy peer review publications and serves as a Board Member for ASTMH. She studies diabetic foot ulcer outcomes and health care practices in the Bronx to improve quality of care and enhance foot health in diabetic patients.

Anil Hingorani, MD

Anil Hingorani, MD, is a board-certified vascular surgeon at the Vascular Institute of New York, located in the Borough Park neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York, and an assistant professor at Mount Sinai Medical Center and SUNY Downstate in Brooklyn. Dr Hingorani has more than 20 years of experience treating a wide range of vascular conditions. After graduating from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI), in Rensselaer, New York, with a Bachelor of Science in biology in 1988, Dr Hingorani attended Albany Medical College (AMC) in Albany, New York. Upon graduating in 1990, Dr Hingorani completed his surgical residency at St Luke's-Roosevelt Hospital Center of Columbia University in New York, followed by a vascular fellowship at Brooklyn’s Maimonides Medical Center. Dr. Hingorani has a broad range of experience in diagnosing and treating vascular conditions, and his specialties include vascular access, varicose veins, lower limb arterial disease, carotid artery angioplasty and stent, aortic aneurysm, and vein disorders. In 2019, Dr Hingorani was awarded the Castle Connolly Regional Top Doctor and made the Marquis Who's Who in the World list. He has also authored numerous peer-reviewed publications throughout his career. As a highly respected vascular surgeon in his native state of New York, Dr Hingorani belongs to several professional organizations, including the American Board of Vascular Surgery, the International Union of Angiology, and the Society of Vascular Ultrasound. When he is not working with patients, Dr Hingorani enjoys spending time with his wife, son, and daughter.

Anthony R Iorio, DPM, MPH, CPed, FACFAS, FACFAOM, FAPWHc graduated from the New York College of Podiatric Medicine in 1981 and completed a two-year surgical residency through the Veterans Administration Medical Centers in New York and Connecticut. Upon completing his residency programs in1983, he entered private practice in Fairfield County, CT. During which time he attended the New York College of Medicine and obtained his master’s in public health in 2003, in Health Care and Policy. He served as President of the Connecticut Podiatric Medical Association from 2005-2007 after serving 10 years on their Board. He is Board Certified in Podiatric Surgery and as well as Podiatric Orthopedics and Medicine. Dr Iorio is also a Fellow in the American Professional Wound Care Association. Currently, Dr Iorio serves as a Professor of Medicine, Chairman of Community Medicine, and Dean of Continuing Education at the New York College of Podiatric Medicine since 2004. He continues to practice in his academic role as co -chairman, Dept of Surgery, in Podiatric Wound Care at the Metropolitan Hospital Center in Manhattan, NY and has ventured into introducing Podiatry into an ADA-approved endocrinology office in Manhattan where he is the Director of Wound Care and Podiatry. He is an educator, administrator and clinician and is involved in several research projects in Wound Care and Diabetes. He serves on several Not-for-Profit Boards and is an International Lecturer to Mexico, Vietnam, and India. Dr Iorio is a Key Opinion Leader and consultant to several companies. He currently holds some patents in wound care. He is active in many social areas of health care promotions and is frequently found on missions in area of need in rural India.

John C Lantis, II, MD is the Vice Chairman of the Department of Surgery at Mount Sinai West and St Luke's Roosevelt Hospitals in New York City, where he is also the Chief of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery. He holds the academic title of Professor of Surgery at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. Dr Lantis' clinical practice spans the fields of Vascular/Endovascular Surgery, and lower extremity wound healing. He directs a clinical/basic science research program in the field of lower extremity wound healing and tissue repair and is published extensively. He is a founding member of the American Board of Wound Medicine and Surgery. He currently sits on the editorial board of WOUNDS and the Journal of Wound Care. In addition, he is a reviewer for half a dozen other journals. To date, he is/or has been the principal investigator on more than 55 multicenter and single center chronic wound and vascular surgery trials.

Denise Levy, DPM, DABPM, CWS-P is originally from Jamaica and completed her Bachelors Degree at Oakwood University in Huntsville, Alabama. She matriculated from Barry University School of Graduate Medical Sciences in Miami Shores, FL, with degrees in Podiatric Medicine and Surgery and a Masters in Biomedical Sciences. She then completed Podiatric Medical and Surgical internship and residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio under the guidance of Drs Lawrence Harkless, David Armstrong and John Steinberg, leaders in the field of diabetic limb salvage. In addition, she completed a Surgical Fellowship in Foot and Ankle Surgery at the North General Hospital, an affiliate of Mount Sinai Hospital in New York. Dr Levy, has a passion for the treatment of complex diabetic lower extremity wounds and the underserved community. Her skill sets and knowledge has enabled her to be an integral part of the limb salvage team at Montefiore Medical Center where she has served as a Supervising Physician in the Hyperbaric and Wound Care Center since 2003. This center provides other options for limb salvage for the diabetic population in the surrounding community. Years of experience has afforded her the privilege to embrace the benefits of collaborating with needed specialties in order to foster better prognosis in this fragile patient population. The team approach towards limbs salvage in invaluable. Since 2009, Dr Levy has also maintained private practices at locations within the boroughs of the Bronx and Manhattan. There, she still provides podiatric medical and surgical care for maladies that include but are not limited to : bunions, hammertoes, neuromas, sport injuries, fore-foot fractures, strains, dermatological diseases, sprains, tendonitis, capsulitis, biomechanical issues of the foot requiring orthoses and/or shoe modification. She is a certified wound specialist with ABWM, board certified by ABMSP and ABPM. She values her role as a podiatric physician and is committed to developing relationships with each patient that is built on mutual respect and trust.

Michael Miller, DO, FACOS, FAPWH, WCC, AWCC is the CEO and Medical Director of Miller Care Group. Dr Miller is a board-certified general surgeon who has been practicing chronic wound management since 1997. He has traveled all over the world and provided wound care and related education through lectures, peer-reviewed articles, and book chapters as well as volunteering annually in Honduras. He became certified in addiction treatment in 2015 and also provides advanced pain management. In 2010, he was honored by being named the Physician of the Year by the American Osteopathic Foundation. He is an Assistant Professor at Marion University College of Osteopathic Medicine where he lectures and mentors medical students.

Jeffrey Page, DPM


After completing Brigham Young University and the California College of Podiatric Medicine, Jeffrey Page, DPM completed his residency in Foot and Ankle Surgery at Waldo General Hospital in Seattle. He is board certified in foot and ankle surgery and wound care. Dr Page has served as Chief of the Podiatry Section at the Phoenix VA, as a tenured Professor and Executive Dean of the California College of Podiatric Medicine (CCPM), and as Professor and the Founding Director of the Arizona College of Podiatric Medicine at Midwestern University for 14 years. He has published more than 75 manuscripts, posters, and abstracts. Dr Page’s research, practice, and community service has been focused on bringing innovative wound care and post post-operative pain management products and services to providers and patients, including active active-duty, retirees, and veterans.

Margarita Presman, DPM, FACPM, CWSP

Margarita Presman, DPM, FACPM, CWSP attended Baruch College as an undergrad. She entered NYCPM directly after college in 2008 and graduated in 2012 with her DPM degree. She went on to complete a three-year Podiatric Medicine & Surgery Residency with Reconstructive Rearfoot & Ankle Certification at The Mount Sinai Hospital in 2015. After completing residency training, she worked for several years in private practice, attained admitting and operating privileges at Maimonides Medical Center in the Department of Orthopedics and became board certified by the American Board of Podiatric Medicine. In June of 2019, she made the decision to continue her training and entered into a one-year Wound Care & Tissue Healing Fellowship program at St. John’s Episcopal Hospital in Queens, NY. During her fellowship she completed training in Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy, which allowed her to attain “physician supervision of hyperbaric oxygen therapy” hospital privileges. In November of 2020, she became board certified by the American Board of Wound Management (Certified Wound Specialist Physician®), thus becoming board certified in both podiatric medicine and wound care. In mid-December 2020, Dr Presman was appointed Director of Radiology! She had been teaching the radiology clerkship to third-year students, and supervises the didactic and clinical aspects of that department.

Matthew Regulski, DPM, FFPM RCPS (Glasg), DABMSP is a graduate of Temple University School of Medicine, where he graduated Summa Cum Laude. He performed his residency at the Main Line Health System in Philadelphia, PA, and is currently the Medical Director of the Wound Care Institute of Ocean County, LLC. Dr Regulski is also Co-Director of The Center for Wound Healing & Hyperbaric Medicine at Community Medical Center and is involved at the Wound Care Center at the Kimball Institute. He has been the principal investigator for multiple clinical trials for wound healing, diabetic foot, and venous leg ulcers, and has authored several peer-reviewed articles for the treatment of chronic wound healing and limb-salvage surgery. Dr Regulski is currently on the Board of Directors of the Federation of International Podiatry and is the Scientific Chairman for the Federation of International Podiatry. He is also the Communications Director for the Foot Working Group of the American Diabetes Association. Dr Regulski is a wound care certified physician and fellow of both the Academy of Physicians in Wound Healing and the American Professional Wound Care Association. He is also a National Delegate for the Association for the Advancement of Wound Care and is a member of the Wound Healing Society. An International and National lecturer of wound healing and limb-salvage surgery, Dr Regulski has multiple certifications in wound healing, diabetic wounds, and limb-salvage surgery. Dr Matthew Regulski is a fellow faculty member at the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow, Scotland.

Michael Subick, DPM, FACFAS is triple-board certified in foot, ankle, and reconstructive rear foot surgery and also certified in wound care. He is the Medical Director of The Center For Wound Healing at St. Mary’s General Hospital. He directs the Podiatric Residency at St. Mary’s General Hospital. He specializes in foot and ankle reconstruction, utilizing traditional internal and external ring fixation, pediatric and adult trauma of the ankle and foot and in limb salvage. He is the founder and director of the North Jersey Reconstructive Foot and Ankle Fellowship. He is one of a handful of foot and ankle surgeons with an advanced ankle license in New York State.

Jill Trelease, DNP, FNP-BC, CWON, CFCN, is a wound, ostomy and foot certified Family Nurse Practitioner with more than 15 years of nursing experience in wound and ostomy care. She is currently the Program Director for RestorixHealth’s award-winning Center for Wound Healing at Morton Hospital in Taunton, Massachusetts. She is active in the wound care community, having presented at multiple national conferences and is a past President of the Wound, Ostomy, and Continence Nursing Certification Board, where she has also held positions as a Foot Care Liaison and Financial Officer. She was accepted as a Peer Reviewer for the journal Advances in Skin and Wound Care 2019, and since 2013, has published several articles of her own in the Journal of Wound, Ostomy, and Continence Nursing. After receiving her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Rhode Island, Jill received her Certificate in Wound, Ostomy, and Continence Care from Lahey Clinic in Burlington, Massachusetts in 2004. She received her master’s degree from the University of Rhode Island’s Family Nurse Practitioner program in 2014 and has completed the university’s Doctorate of Nursing Practice program.
